Back to Chapter 17 | Back to Chapter-by-Chapter List

Complex (a) is Zeise's salt, which was the first to be recognized as an organometallic comples.

Complexes (b) and (c) are representatives of the large class of metal carbonyl complexes.

Complexes (d)–(g) all have ligands which bond to the metal "face on" through their π MOs.
