"Fix2D" Version 0.91 for XWIN-NMR on Windows NT Niko Loening, October 9, 2000 Copyright (C) 2000 Niko Loening All Rights Reserved Index 1. About Fix2D 2. Notes 3. Requirements 4. Installation 5. Usage 6. Hints 7. Known Problems ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1. About Fix2D Fix2D is designed to allow the modification of individual rows in a 2D file. Using this program, a user can adjust the phase, baseline, etc. of any row in a 2D spectrum. This is particularly helpful for pseudo-2D experiments, such as DOSY, where the phase and baseline may vary slighly from one row to the next. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2. Notes -> Fix2D is freely available for academic use. -> There is no warranty for damages caused by using this application. -> Without permission from the author (Niko Loening), you may not distribute the program. -> For requests, questions, or bug reports, contact the author by e-mail at "Niko_Loening@alumni.hmc.edu". -> You may find the latest version of Fix2D at the following site: http://www-keeler.ch.cam.ac.uk/downloads -> If you are using Windows 2000, the program will not automatically show up as the topmost window when started. To change this behavior, use the Windows registry editor (regedit.exe) to change the \HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ Control Panel\Desktop\ForegroundLockTimeout registry key from a decimal value of 200000 to 0. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 3. Requirements This program was created for XWIN-NMR 2.5 and 2.6 running under Windows NT 4.0. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 4. Installation 1) Download fix2d.exe and place the file in the XWIN-NMR\prog\au\bin directory. 2) That's it. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 5. Usage 1) On the XWIN-NMR commandline (where you type commands such as "ft" and "ased") type "fix2d". XWIN-NMR is case sensitive, so make sure you use lower case letters. 2) The screen will change to 1D mode and a small dialog box will pop on at the right edge of the screen. By clicking on the folders in this dialog box, it is possible to switch between the different rows. The title of the data set will reflect the current row. 3) Any changes made (for instance, adjusting the phase of the row) will be updated to the 2D data set upon switching rows or exiting the program. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 6. Hints -> The menu at the top of the screen has three options, "O", "?", and "X". Clicking on "X" will 'eXit' the program. Clicking on "?" will bring up the About box. Clicking on "O" will bring up the one option for the program..."Update 2D". If this is unchecked, changes made to the rows will not be updated to the 2D data set. This is useful for toying with data without making any lasting changes, or if you want to use Fix2D as a replacement for XWIN-NMR's flawed "serial" mode. -> Right clicking on the folders in the Fix2D dialog box will bring up a list of options for automatic phase correction and automatic baseline correction. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 7. Known problems There are no known problems at this time.
